About Us

     I am a life long resident of Illinois, graduated from Glenbrook North High School in Northbrook and graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. After college I passed the Illinois Real Estate Salesman Examination and joined the Evanston North-Shore Board of Realtors. In 1975, I became a Sales-Associate with Rich Port, Realtor, in Northbrook. In 1976, I obtained my Illinois Broker's License. I continued my real estate education and earned the professional designation of Graduate of the Realtor's Institute (GRI). Shortly thereafter, I left Rich Port Realtor and went to work as a Broker-Associate for one of the premier real estate companies on the North-Shore, Quinlan & Tyson, Inc. In the early 1980's, I left Quinlan & Tyson, Inc. and started my own Century 21 office. During the 12+ years I was involved in the real estate business, I had yearly real estate sales that totaled well over a million dollars.
     In 1987, I went to law school in Michigan. I graduated two years later with the degree of Juris Doctor, with Distinction. I then attended the University of Miami, School of Law's graduate law taxation program in Coral Gables, Florida.
     In 1990, I returned to Illinois and passed the Illinois Bar Examination. I was hired by the Will County State's Attorney Office as an Assistant State's Attorney were I was assigned to the Civil Division. My main assignments were the Will County Sheriff's Police, Will County Health Department and the Office of the Circuit Clerk of Court. I was directly involved in the sale and closing of several single family and multi-family properties owned by the Will County Health Department. I handled hundreds of real estate tax appeals that were filed both with the Will County Circuit Court and the Will County Supervisor of Assessment's Office. I represented the County of Will at trial on change of zoning, land use and real estate tax issues. I also appeared before the Appellate Court on zoning, land use and real estate tax cases. During this time, I was the primary attorney handling worker's compensation cases and also prosecuted criminal cases.
     After several years, I left the Will County State's Attorney's Office and went into private practice. Presently, a large percentage of my practice involves representing clients in the selling and buying of real estate. I have handled real estate closing on sales as low as a couple of thousands of dollars, with some transactions that were well over one million dollars.
     I bring over 30 years of knowledge and experience in the real estate business which few real estate attorneys have obtained. I have dedicated myself in providing my clients with quality legal representation at an affordable price.
